Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of Lumi, a web accessibility scanning service operated by Livana Group Ltd (company number 16955382), a company registered in England and Wales. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these terms.

The service

Lumi provides automated web accessibility scanning against WCAG 2.2 guidelines. The service analyses web pages for potential accessibility issues and generates reports with remediation guidance. Automated scanning identifies a subset of possible accessibility issues and does not constitute a full compliance audit or legal advice.

Account terms

• You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account.
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. Livana Group Ltd is not liable for any loss arising from unauthorised access to your account.
• One person or legal entity may not maintain more than one free account.
• You must be at least 18 years old or the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction to use this service.

Acceptable use

You agree to use Lumi responsibly and lawfully. In particular:

• Only scan websites you own or have explicit permission to scan. Scanning third-party websites without authorisation is prohibited and may violate applicable law.
• Do not attempt to overload, disrupt, or reverse-engineer the service.
• Do not use the service for any purpose that is illegal or prohibited by these terms.
• Do not use automated tools (bots, scrapers) to access the service beyond the provided API and CI/CD integration.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms without prior notice.

API and CI/CD usage

Lumi provides an API and CI/CD integration for automated scanning. Use of these features is subject to the following:

• API access is limited to the rate limits and scan quotas included in your plan. Exceeding these limits may result in requests being throttled or rejected.
• You must keep your API key confidential. You are responsible for all activity associated with your key.
• We reserve the right to revoke API access if usage patterns indicate abuse, excessive load, or violation of these terms.
• CI/CD scans count towards your monthly scan quota in the same way as scans initiated through the dashboard.

Branded reports and resale

Subscribers on plans that include branded report features (such as the Agency plan) may apply their own branding to scan reports and share those reports with their clients. This is an intended use of the service and does not require a separate agreement.

Outside of branded report features, you may not resell, sublicence, or redistribute access to Lumi or its scan results as a standalone product without prior written agreement from Livana Group Ltd.

Payment terms

• Paid plans are billed monthly or annually in advance via Stripe. All prices are displayed in GBP and are exclusive of VAT where applicable.
• Free trials require a valid payment method. You will not be charged during the trial period. At the end of your trial, your subscription will automatically begin at the plan rate unless you cancel before the trial ends.
• We may change pricing with 30 days' notice. Price changes will not affect your current billing cycle.
• Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis. If you believe you are owed a refund, contact hello@livana.io.

Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. You will retain access to paid features until that date. After cancellation, your scan data is retained for 30 days before being permanently deleted.

Service availability

We aim to keep Lumi available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may occasionally take the service offline for maintenance, updates, or due to circumstances beyond our control. We will make reasonable efforts to notify users of planned downtime in advance.

Intellectual property

Lumi and all associated branding, code, and content are the intellectual property of Livana Group Ltd. Your scan results and reports are yours to use freely. You grant us a limited licence to process and store the data you submit solely for the purpose of providing the service.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Livana Group Ltd, its directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or in connection with your use of the service, including but not limited to: scanning websites without authorisation, violation of these terms, or infringement of any third-party rights.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

• Lumi is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied.
• We do not warrant that scan results are complete, accurate, or sufficient for legal compliance. Automated scanning is a tool, not a substitute for professional accessibility auditing or legal advice.
• Livana Group Ltd shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the service.
• Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these terms or the service shall not exceed the amount you have paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or an in-app notice at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
